Woolshed 0.1 for macOS

Your coding agents, under one roof.

Woolshed runs Claude Code, Codex, Gemini and every other agent side by side in one fast, native window. It shows which agent needs you, and keeps them all working when you close the lid.

Why Woolshed

Built for running many agents at once.

One window for every agent and every project, quick enough to forget it is there, and shaped around how you work.

Every agent, one window

Spaces, tabs and split panes for Claude Code, Codex, Gemini, Cursor, OpenCode, Copilot and any other terminal program.

Know who needs you

Every agent shows as working, blocked, done or idle. The one waiting on an answer is never buried in a tab.

Close the window, keep the work

Terminals live in a small background core, so agents keep going when you quit the app or your laptop sleeps.

Your servers too

Add a machine over SSH and open spaces there. Its agents join the same list as the ones on your Mac.

Reshape it by asking

Layouts are JSON and mods are small JavaScript files. Ask your agent for a board, a timer or a new panel and it builds it.

Native and fast

A Rust app drawn on the GPU, with the Ghostty terminal engine inside. No Electron, no browser tab pretending to be an app.

Agents can drive it

Agents start helpers, send each other work and wait on results through the woolshed and hc commands.

Private by default

No telemetry and no feedback uploads. Nothing about you or your work leaves your machine unless you turn it on.

Woolshed Voice

Talk, and the right words appear.IN DEVELOPMENT

Hold a key anywhere on your Mac, say what you mean, and let go. Woolshed Voice types polished text wherever your cursor is, and gets better every time you use it.

  • Works in every app. Word, Mail, Slack, Notion, your browser and your terminal.
  • Cleans up as you speak. Drops the ums, fixes punctuation, and turns spoken lists into real ones.
  • Learns you. Your corrections, names and project words make the next dictation more accurate.
  • Talks to your agents. Prompt Claude Code or Codex by voice and hear when one needs you.
  • Edit by voice. Select text and say “make this friendlier” or “turn this into bullet points”.
  • Your choice of engine. On-device recognition, or your own OpenAI, Deepgram, Groq or Anthropic keys.

What you'll need

A Mac with Apple Silicon. The first time it starts, Woolshed offers to install its terminal core, herdr-core, for you.

Your agents themselves come from their makers. Install Claude Code, Codex or any other agent as usual and Woolshed finds it.

Open source

Standing on good shoulders.

Woolshed is a fork of Herdr, the open-source agent desktop by Herdr, Inc., and is released under the same Apache 2.0 license. Its terminals run in Herdr's open-source core, herdr-core.

Woolshed is an independent project and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Herdr, Inc.
